The Great Transport Race website (GTR Website) is owned by Public Transport Victoria (PTV). PTV collects Personal Information or Health Information from an individual if it is necessary for the provision of services to that individual, or to carry out PTV’s functions.

Information collected by the GTR Website

Unless information is expressly provided to PTV by a visitor to the GTR Website, PTV will not know the identity of any visitor to the GTR Website. The GTR Website uses “cookies” to gather statistical information to help PTV understand what visitors find interesting or useful on the GTR Website, but the cookies can not be used to identify an individual visitor to the GTR Website at any time. Visitors to the GTR Websites can choose to disable PTV’s cookies by adjusting the settings on their web browser.

PTV may provide your Personal Information or Health Information to public transport operators and authorities for the purposes of providing feedback and answering queries. “Public transport authorities” are the Transport Ticketing Authority, Transport Safety Victoria and the Department of Transport.

Visitors who click on links on the GTR Website to external websites should be aware that PTV’s Information Privacy Policy does not apply to other organizations. GTR Website visitors should contact the provider of any external website they use to access details of that provider’s applicable privacy standards, policies and procedures.

Accessing Personal Information or Health Information about you

You are entitled to contact the PTV Information Privacy Officer (contact details are set out below) and request access to any Personal Information or Health Information about you, that is held by PTV.

PTV will take reasonable steps to correct and update any Personal Information or Health Information that is established to be inaccurate, incomplete or not up to date or provide you with a written statement if such a request is refused.
