East heat winners revealed

Congratulations to the ACEG team at St Catherine's School who has taken out the east heat of the Great Transport Race today, Thursday 3 May.

A massive well done also to the following four placegetters, who with the winners progress to the grand final on Tuesday 22 May:

1st place: St Catherine’s School – ACEG – 135 minutes
2nd place: Waverly Christian College – Waverly Boys – 130 minutes
3rd place: Marcellin College – Marcellin All Stars – 125 minutes
4th place: Canterbury Girls Secondary College – The C.A.S.E – 125 minutes
5th place: Yarra Hills Secondary College – NKOTB – 111 minutes

Winning team ACEG from St Catherine’s School said that experience was the key to their success.

“We used our local knowledge of the public transport network and made sure we read the maps properly as part of our race plan. Great team work and cooperation was also really important,” Elysee Dubois team captain said.

“We had lots of fun racing to all the pit stops, even in the wet and cold weather.”
